The Life Of A Hypochondriac During A Pandemic

It’s unbelievably insufferable to deal with random health anxiety casually. Even when the world in some respect is boresome, hypochondriac’s are still in agony. Flash forward to 2020, the year of the unexpected and when maintaining any kind of infrastructure revolving around stability, has vanished. With respect obviously to those who have actual “medical” issues, this era of an international pandemic can feel like a literal hell on Earth for those of us who are hypochondriac’s.

To travel daintily through the complex brain of an individual with any form of anxiety, whether it be general or social, we must skim through the rabbit hole of one tiny thought. Yes, one insignificant inkling of something going wrong in life can envelop a person with anxiety’s entire being. Especially those who are prone to having O.C.D and in turn shifting that thought process over to health fears.

For myself, this is how it begins. Whilst lying in bed quite unbothered it can be as simple as watching a commercial on Youtube from St. Jude. From then on if I don’t push the brakes on my mind it’s inevitable insanity. Next, I run over to Google. If you are someone who has been to a psychiatrist or even for a checkup at the doctors, they will urge with deep concern to never type in perceived issues on America’s favorite search engine.
